Daily Life
As a school, our primary goal is to serve the developmental needs of our students. Our daily schedule therefore provides the structure needed to create a Learner’s Paradise for the children.

Regular School Hours are 7:30am to 3:00pm, Monday to Friday

Extended Hours are 3:00pm to 6:00pm

Each department in the school has its specific schedule. However, the general school schedule looks like this:

Drop Off/ Pick Up:

Early drop-off starts at 7:00am. Parents take their children to their respective classrooms between 7:00 and 7:20a.m. Teachers will be available to receive children in their classrooms.

Morning drive-through runs from 7:30 – 8:00a.m. Children are warmly received from their cars by our staff and are taken to the playground for a 20 minute morning recess, as we believe that physical exercise is tied to academic performance.

Afternoon carpool runs from 3:00 to 3:45p.m. For easy identification, each family is assigned a car sticker. Parent/caregiver IDs are also checked before any child is released.

Parents who wish to pick-up their children before 3:00pm can do so.

Jesus Time:

Jesus time holds from 8:00 to 8:30a.m. daily. It is a period of daily devotion, where the children begin their day with God through bible reading, praise & worship and arts & crafts activities relating to Christian values.

Work Cycle:

The Work Cycle is one of the tenets of the Montessori Way. It is a three-hour work period during which children receive/practice lessons they have already received. Children choose their work, therefore allowing them to learn and develop at their own pace.

Circle Time/ Community Meetings:

The children discuss daily activities, themes for the week, and review classroom “ground rules”. Circle time is also used for communal activities, such as show and tell and birthday celebrations.

Community meetings are the equivalent of Circle Time for our elementary students. Community meetings are run by the children and are for discussing current affairs, interesting events/discoveries, give acknowledgements, and solve problems in the classroom.

Recess:

When the weather permits, our children play outdoors. This allows them to explore the outdoor environment, develop socially, and build strength and stamina. During the rainy season, recess is held indoors. The children engage in indoor games in their classrooms.

Meals/Snacks:

Meal times are an opportunity to teach children grace & courtesy and table etiquette. We provide healthy snacks for all children. Hot lunch is available for children who are signed-up for school lunch. Parents are welcome to pack lunch from home too.

Naps:

Children under the age of four have a designated nap time, as children this age need to rest half-way through the day. Nap cots are provided by the school..

Enrichments/Studio Programs:

We offer extracurricular classes referred to as ‘enrichments’ and ‘Studio Programs’. These programs are run by Mindscapes Children’s Museum. They include: Cookery, Ballet, Soccer, and STEM Club. These classes give children a structured space to round out academic interests.

Full Day Program (Extended Day):

For families where both parents work full-time, picking up a child in the afternoon may present a challenge. We offer a full day program from 3:00 – 5:50p.m, to serve your childcare needs.

Enrollment in the program requires an additional fee.
