Description
The Executive Assistant (curriculum) assists the Executive Director with the functions of the learning team. Specifically, assists the EA in the development of the 21st-century curriculum, implementation with a biblical worldview, and the operational integrity of Montessori principles and practice. He/she is in addition a Montessori guide in training, and the position of the executive assistant offers a deeper experience in the roles and responsibilities of a classroom guide. The EA curriculum will be assigned to a classroom if a vacancy opens up.
As a Montessori Guide (Directress), he/she directs his/her students’ activities academically, spiritually, emotionally, and physically in a prepared Montessori environment that challenges each child to reach his/her fullest potential in these developmental areas, in accordance with Montessori philosophy and procedures for the age group in which a Montessori diploma is held.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Observation – Assists the ED in the development and maintenance of systems and records for the observation of learners.
- Planning and Development – Assists the EA in the research, planning and development of new curriculum content and learning resources.
- Prepared Environment – Assists in creating, maintaining and repairing the classroom materials.
- Implementation – Takes charge of the deployment of new curriculum content and resources.
- Record Keeping – Keeps all records associated with the ED’s work
- Assessments and Reports –Assesses the effectiveness of new content implementation.
- Community Building – communicating with and establishing a positive relationship with the community, and keeping the ED abreast of all matters arising.
- Intervention – Assisting the ED with the implementation of the Bridge program for students with additional learning needs.

Registered with Teacher’s Registration Council of Nigeria, TRCN
Must hold a minimum of a bachelor’s degree or a post-graduate degree in Education from an accredited college or university
Minimum of 2 years working experience in an authentic Montessori early childhood environment
Possesses an engaging instructional manner i.e. can engage others to direct them on practical skills
